The Entangled Gaze is a two-day conference addressing the ways Indigenous and European artists have represented each other in historical and contemporary art. This event will convene an interdisciplinary group of scholars, museum professionals, artists, and Indigenous community members from North America and Europe, to explore post-contact histories as they have been expressed through Indigenous art and visual culture. 

With presentation by conference host Gerald McMaster; artists Kent Monkman, Bonnie Devine, Barry Ace, Rosalie Favel, Hulleah Tsinhnahjinnie, Embassy of Imagination, Lisa Myers; scholars Krista Ulujuk Zawadski, Rainer Hatoum, Kaitlin McCormick, Jonathan King, Nicole Perry, Monika Siebert, Christopher Green, Anna Brus, Markus Lindner, Rick Hill; and curators Wanda Nanibush, Nika Collison Jisgang, Kathryn Bunn-Marcuse, Nii Q. Quarcoopome, and Candace Greene.
